We’ve been talking about the Supply Chain Sustainability School for a while now, but what does it really mean in practice? To give some substance to our claims, Nick (Head of Marketing & Technology) and Kathy (Sustainability Coordinator) have been exploring how the School supports both our business and our customers.
The School is a free learning platform offering CPD-accredited training and resources across a wide range of sustainability topics from carbon management and biodiversity to social value and sustainable procurement. Its purpose is to take complex ideas and turn them into practical, actionable steps that businesses and employees can apply in their day to day work.
Our Gold membership with the School highlights our commitment to deepening our understanding of sustainability. It demonstrates that multiple members of our team are actively engaging in workshops, assessments, and structured learning pathways. We’ve also contributed our own case study (see below), sharing how we put these principles into action.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to use the School to drive progress towards our own sustainability goals, while also helping our customers achieve theirs. Staying on top of new regulations is a key part of this journey, ensuring we can provide the most relevant and up to date support.
One area of focus is how we make better use of the data we already have. From lifecycle assessments to carbon accounting, the question isn’t just about collecting information; it’s about what we do with it. By applying these insights to improve our operations and sharing them openly with our customers, we can support wider industry progress.
Transparency and data sharing are essential if we want to create meaningful, measurable change.
